7 Healthcast: Yoga Solution

Yoga has many benefits from flexibility to strength, but this class is designed to help women get pregnant.

Carol Ward is struggling with infertility.

Carol Ward, Trying to Conceive
"It feels like it's been a very long road. When I think about it being two and a half years, sometimes it feels a lot longer."

Dr. Janice Fox, Brigham and Women's Hospital
"Studies have been done and these patients have been found to have stress levels equal to those people suffering from aids or cancer."

The mind-body medical institute offers classes to reduce that stress.

Jennifer Johnston, Yoga Instructor
"It's harder to conceive when you're stressed out and so it reduces stress, both physiological and psychological stress."

Although it's impossible to pinpoint yoga as the cause, the mind body medical institute currently has a 44 percent success rate in helping women get pregnant.

Whether the women conceive or not - doctors say the program enhances their work - by giving women a greater sense of control.

Dr. Janice Fox, Brigham and Women's Hospital
"Help people who need treatment cope with the treatment which is very stressful in itself."

Carol Ward, Trying to Conceive
"It's just been amazing, not just for fertility, it's been a life change for me."

She hopes that life change will result in a baby - but already, she is a happier person for being here.
