Protecting Your Pet: Mobile pet grooming
Gail Rosenberg likes to make her toy poodle look like a prince.
"A lot of people don't groom their dogs as often as I groom him. I love him groomed, I love how he looks," Rosenberg said.
But Gail said bringing three-year-old Louie to the groomer could be stressful for her and her poodle.
"They keep them all day and you pick them up at four or five o'clock and I don't' like that, I don't like to leave him all day somewhere," Rosenberg said.
So Gail turned to a mobile pet grooming service that comes right to her house.
"This is like a little shop on wheels basically, it's very convenient," Vander Barbosa, of Flying Fur mobile pet grooming service said.
Louie gets picked up at the door, and then it's off to the van. It's equipped with the same styling tools as a regular pet-grooming salon.
First up, manicure. Louie gets his nails trimmed and shaped. Then it's a bath, blow dry, and cut. And 45 minutes later, Louie is looking dog-gone gorgeous.
"Louie, my beautiful boy," Rosenberg said.
The Flying Fur mobile pet grooming service is by appointment only, they also groom cats.
The cost is by the breed. For a small dog it's $70. For a bigger dog it's about $100.
