Police look for suspects after Harvard shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Cambridge police are looking for several people after a man was shot outside an entrance to a Harvard University dormitory.

Police said the man, who is not a Harvard student, was hospitalized Monday in stable condition with a wound to his abdomen after the shooting at Kirkland House.

Students inside the building were told to remain there for several hours as police interviewed potential witnesses. Harvard is in the midst of final exams.

No arrests have been made. In a statement, the university said the shooting appeared to be "isolated."

A witness told The Harvard Crimson student newspaper the man, who appeared "college-aged," was bleeding, but conscious.
