NH 18-year-old charged with taking Cheez Whiz

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- An 18-year-old man has been accused of trying to steal a can of Cheez Whiz from the supermarket where he used to work.

Kyle Ware was arrested Thursday on a count of unarmed robbery alleging he put the can of spray cheese in his cargo pants pocket and began to leave without paying.

Police say several employees at the Market Basket chased Ware to the front of the store, where one tackled him and held him in a headlock, the Portsmouth Herald reported.

At his arraignment, Ware, whose criminal history includes threatening a girl with a knife and vandalism, was ordered held on $10,000 bail and ordered to get a job within 14 days.
