Portsmouth, NH, police chief retires

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Portsmouth, N.H., is looking for a new police chief.

Chief Michael Magnant is retiring after 30 years with the department. He's been chief for nearly seven years.

The town of Rye announced Thursday that Magnant will take over as part-time town administrator next month.
