Jogger struck, killed by mail truck in Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, Mass. -- A jogger was killed on Saturday after being struck by a mail truck in Weymouth.

Jim Zupkofska, a 45-year-old off-duty Norfolk county corrections officer, was killed instantly.  

The accident, which happened just after 7 p.m., was witnessed by onlookers who reported that the truck veered out of control, struck the man, and then rolled over.

The driver of the postal truck was transported to the hospital and is being treated for minor injuries.

Zupkofska, a man remembered for his charity work, leaves behind his wife.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
