WESTON, Mass. -- Three tractor trailers and one car were involved in an accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike early Monday morning, causing numerous delays for the morning commute.

One of the tractor trailers struck a tollbooth at the Weston Tolls on the eastbound side at around 2:30 a.m. Monday. A tollbooth operator was inside the building during the crash, but escaped without any injuries.

One truck was hauling beef that spilled all over the roadway during the crash. A second truck was carrying paper goods, while a third truck was carrying tomatoes.

The car involved was wedged underneath one of the tractor trailers. The driver of that car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Some lanes at the tolls are still blocked to allow crews to clean up the area. Officials are unsure how long the cleanup may take.

Four lanes were opened later in the morning, and motorists traveling trough the lanes did not have to pay tolls in order to keep traffic flowing.

The scene was cleared by about 10:30 a.m. The accident remains under investigation.
