Police searching for purse snatcher in South Boston

BOSTON -- Police are issuing a warning to women about danger lurking in the dark in South Boston.

Boston police are searching for a repeat purse snatcher. The suspect has attacked three times at night.

The first victim was walking home, the second was leaving a cab, and the third was waiting for a bus.

None of the women were hurt, but police are reminding everyone to be alert.

"Just be aware of their surroundings and ask the other citizens to just pay attention to their surroundings also, if they take notice of anything just call 911 immediately," said Paul Donovan, of the Boston Police Department.

Police have released a photo of the man who is said to have committed all three robberies.
