Student falls at Marlboro High School

MARLBORO, Mass. -- A female student fell from a balcony at Marlboro High School around 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Police are investigating whether the two- or three-story drop occured accidentally or on purpose.
"A letter went home with all Marlboro High School students at dismisal today, informing parents and guardians of the incident and providing contact and support information," Marlboro High School spokesperson Karen Kisty said.
A meeting for parents and students to discuss what happened is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday night at the Marlboro High School library.
The victim was conscious when emergency crews arrived. She was taken to UMass Medical Center for treatment. There has been no word on the victim's condition as of Monday evening.
