BOSTON -- A woman was attacked and sexually assaulted while she heading home from a party at MIT.

The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning near Kendall Square.

Police say that the woman was walking by herself when she was attacked by five or six men.

The assailants are described as neatly dressed white men in their early 20s.

Police are unsure whether the suspects are students at MIT or elsewhere.

Until the suspects are caught or police know more about the incident, everyone is asked to me more vigilant.

"You should be in groups or with somebody else, at least one person," Jessica Strader, Boston University student, said.

The victim reportedly was not seriously injured during the attack.
