Girl reports attempted abduction in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Mass. -- Police are searching for a man who tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into his car.

The seventh grade student was walking to the Frost Elementary School on Bowdoin Street when she said the man approached her while driving on the wrong side of the road.

According to police, she ran to a home that she pretended was hers.

The man drove away, but a short time later, the man returned, driving by her a few times. 

The driver is described as a light-skinned male with a round face and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and baseball cap driving a red four-door car, possibly a Honda Accord.

Police said they have increased patrols around the area.
