Man charged with trying to kill Merrimack man in robbery

MERRIMACK, N.H. -- A Manchester, New Hampshire, man is being held on a quarter of a million dollars bail on charges he tried to kill a Merrimack man during a robbery.
Police say 35-year-old Michael Teeple is accused of stabbing the 50-year-old victim in the head and torso with a tire rasp, a tool used to fix flat tires.
The victim told police he was in his apartment Sunday afternoon when Teeple came to his door demanding money. He said they struggled and he was stabbed. He was treated and released for his injuries.
Based on his description, police arrested Teeple and say they recovered some stolen property in his pocket.
He's charged with attempted murder, assault and robbery.
