MBTA to bus passengers on D line around accident site

BOSTON -- Commuters who use the D branch of the Green Line are being urged to allow extra time for their commute this morning.

MBTA officials say passengers will be bused between the Newton Highlands and Riverside stops because of the fatal trolley accident near Woodland Station on Wednesday.

Shuttle bus service will be in effect when the line opens on Thursday morning and will continue throughout the day.
