One person dead in 495 tractor-trailer crash

CHELMSFORD, Mass. -- At least one person is dead after a crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer on Thursday.  

The tractor-trailer was traveling north on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford when it hit a car, and jumped the guardrail into southbound traffic, said police.

The crash happened between Exit 33 and Exit 34.

One person died in the crash and two people suffered injuries.

All lanes of 495 South were closed for about two and a half hours. .

Officials are investigating.
