Jury indicts 2 teens for burning Northborough mall

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- A grand jury has indicted three teenagers on criminal charges for allegedly firebombing a teacher's car in Shrewsbury, and charged two of them with torching six businesses in a Northborough mall.
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said the grand jurors handed up the indictments Friday against 18-year-olds Nicholas Couture and Matthew Cramer and 17-year-old Evan Brown, all of Shrewsbury.
Prosecutors accuse the defendants of firebombing a teacher's car in March.
Less than a week later, Couture and Cramer allegedly broke into a store in the Northborough Shopping Plaza, stole cash and lottery tickets and lit a fire. The resulting five-alarm blaze destroyed six businesses and caused an estimated $2 million in damage.
The teens will be arraigned next month.
