Wedding ring found in 200K gallon aquarium

BOSTON -- A dive into the Giant Ocean Tank at the New England Aquarium left one man empty-handed.

Bon Pirrman lost his wedding ring three months ago while in the tank petting a 560-pound sea turtle named Myrtle.

Pirrman said as he got into the tank, he noticed he had his ring on, but thought it would be alright. After, his tank excursion, he saw the ring was no longer on his finger.

Divers told him they would find his ring inside the 200,000 gallon tank, but after three months went by, he thought it was a lost cause.

Pirrman went out and bought a new ring.

But on Sunday, diver Mike Whyte discovered Pirrman's ring while cleaning the tank.

The aquarium reunited Pirrman with his ring in the same spot that he lost it.

When he went down for his second dive, he was sure to come back with his ring still on.

Pirrman said he will use the ring he ordered as a backup.
