PrintSeal stranded on Weymouth beach

WEYMOUTH, Mass. -- A 4-foot seal was stranded on the sand when the tide went out at Wessagussett Beach Tuesday.
The animal drew a crowd of people to the area, while officials paid close attention to see if would make it back into the ocean.
When it did not, officials took the animal away to make sure it was not sick or harmed.
Officials will watch the seal for a few days and then release it back into the ocean.
