EVERETT, Mass. -- A freshman football player at Everett High School is recovering from emergency brain surgery.
Hantzley Audate, 14, collapsed Wednesday after practice.
Audate was immediately rushed into surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Surgeons operated on Audate for two hours for a blood clot in his brain, said school officials.
Doctors said the surgery went well.
Team coaches said Audate had no prior health issues and the team was not doing anything physical when he collapsed.
