Baby Jesus stolen from Hopkinton Nativity scene
HOPKINTON, Mass. -- An unholy heist occurred in Hopkinton just days before Christmas.
Police in Hopkinton are trying to track down who stole a baby Jesus figurine from the town's Nativity scene.
“One of the things I love about this time of year is that people are happy and tend to do the right thing. So when someone doesn’t, it’s sad,” said planning board David Auslander.
The plastic character was first noticed missing a few days ago. No other figurines were taken.
“If it was a joke or prank, prank’s been done. They should bring it back,” said one local woman.
Volunteers have been setting up the Nativity scene in the town common for several years.
