Man shot in RI park now facing federal charge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Massachusetts man facing state charges for allegedly trying to buy guns from an undercover state trooper in a Rhode Island park is now facing federal charges.
Arjusz Roszkowski of North Reading, Mass. was charged Tuesday with a being a felon in possession of a firearm, a federal offense.
State and federal authorities announced they will prosecute the 26-year-old Roszkowski jointly.
He is being held on $25,000 cash bail on various state charges including possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence.
Authorities say Roszkowski went to Lincoln Woods State Park on Nov. 6 to buy guns from an undercover state trooper for $1,000. Police say the two struggled and Roszkowski shot himself in the neck.
