
Janet Wu has a variety of roles at 7News. She is a reporter who has covered Medical News and Special Assignments and is often seen on the anchor desk.
Janet is a graduate of Yale College and recieved a master's degree from Columbia University's School of Journalism. She worked as an anchor and reporter at stations in Seattle, Hawaii, and Monterey, California before coming to Boston in 1996.
A published writer, Janet's essays and editorials have been printed in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, and a number of college textbooks. She has also lectured at Boston University, Brandeis, Bentley and Emerson College.
Janet sits on the Boards of Visitors for the New England Conservatory of Music and The Franciscan Hospital for Children.
She is a long-time supporter of the American Heart Association in memory of her father, a noted heart surgeon. Issues affecting women are also very important to her. This year, Janet will host the benefits for the Center for Women and Enterprise and the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence.
