Happy Mother's Day

Clouds and showers this morning mean it's a good day to let Mom sleep in! When she does get up and is ready to go for brunch or for lunch, keep the umbrella handy. We'll have scattered showers around into the noon hour, before drier weather works in this afternoon. Although the atmosphere dries out, there is just enough instability still that a passing, brief shower can't be rule out. I'd say a chance of a brief shower is 20% this afternoon. We shouldn't have issues at the Sox game aside for a low risk of a passing shower. I'm optimistic we get the game in, with much of the time dry. With partial sunshine returning later today, it's a good bet that temps run close to 70. Not too shabby.
Cooler air rushes in to begin next week. It'll be dry, but if you have outdoor plants in the burbs, keep an eye on Monday night's and Tuesday night's temps. It could be a couple of frosty nights.
Happy Mother's Day mom!
