Right into summer. Warm & humid weather expected for much of the week. Good?.....Well, keep in mind that warmth & humidity are the 2 key ingredients for thunderstorms. The last being something to *lift* that warm/humid air. Usually a front is a good device to do such that. Today, we will have a cool front approach New England very late in the day & evening. That may lead to an isolated storm or two after 4pm but most towns just have a fair amount of clouds, warmth & humidity. Temps will climb to near 80 by afternoon.
Tuesday we still have humidity in the air but not nearly as warm so the chance of t-storms will be minimal--especially along the coast as well as north of town. Plan on a fair amount of clouds too. That will keep temps in the 60s near the coast (Boston too) and the low 70s well inland.
On Wednesday we are back into the warmth while keeping the humidity. Like today, a small chance of an afternoon thunderstorm will exist---where most towns do not see anything. On Thursday, we will have a much better chance of afternoon-evening t-storms. A strong cold front will plow into our warmth/humidity leading to thunderstorms by afternoon. Some of the storms could be intense. More on that later this week.
Good luck with your Monday.
