The weather pattern is again changing...
...this time for the hotter.
It's been an odd summer. Both the heat/dry weather and the cool/wet weather have slugged it out over the last month and a half. Just when you thought the summer would slip away to the showers and chill, a heat wave pops up.
But there's a disconnect between the sensible weather and the recorded weather. While you may thing parts of this summer have been cool, the dataset says otherwise. So far this summer, June was above normal by almost 2 degrees, and we're over 4 degrees above normal this month!
And we'll be adding to that in the coming days. A heat wave? Yeah, and then some. So far this summer, we've seen 11 days of 90 or better, but by the time the workweek's through, we should be up to 16. A normal summer sees 14. (Last time we were above 14 was the summer of 2010....where we had 24!)
So find a nice spot at the beach (if you're able), guzzle down those non-alcholic beverages, and keep your cool.
