Coasting Through The Month
Posted by Pete Bouchard
So far this month, we've seen somewhat cool temperatures (averaging a little over 1° below normal) and drier than normal conditions.
But that's hiding the major selling point of this month: it's been gor-GE-ous! And I don't expect that to change too much in the near future.
However, in the near term I do expect we'll be turning up the thermostat. Heat is building to the west and some humidity will sneak back into the picture again - not to the tune of anything we saw in July, but certainly some tangible change.
Question becomes whether or not we'll see a heat wave in the coming days. Definitely not a slam-dunk. We'll be marginally hot and only 'near' or 'around' 90 all three days in Greater Boston. Not breaking any records or melting any thermometers.
A cool front on Thursday is our only 'hope' for rain this week. It's been relatively dry, so some lawns and gardens will need a watering. And with the looks of the extended forecast
may need another good soaking this weekend.
Enjoy and relax!
