That was quite a turnaround today. Highs in the 80s yesterday, but only upper 60s today - and those were reached this morning!
Oddly enough, the coolest, windiest, mistiest part of this autumn sidebar are behind us. I say 'oddly' because typically in New England the nighttime hours are your coolest, dampest, and cloudiest in these types of setups. Instead, the mist will dry up, the fog will lift and the skies may even break by morning (for some)! That's a huge about-face.
To say nothing of tomorrow. Summer's back with highs in the 80s and the humidity back up in the 'sticky' range.
Bonus for tomorrow: no thunder threat. Wish we could say that for the forthcoming weekend, but there are just too many opportunities for passing storms.
Now here's the disclaimer.
There's a standing threat for a passing storm on Saturday (both early and late) while Sunday sees them mainly in the afternoon. Monday is the wettest of the three, with some peeks of sun and a stiff breeze.
Not the best way to send off summer, but I've seen worse.
