I'm digging this fine September weather----cool, crisp mornings and mild afternoons but as a meteorologist.....a bit slow. It happens across much of the nation this time of year (sans any hurricane activity) as the summertime heat & humidity wanes taking the daily onslaught of thunderstorms with it and there isn't quite enough cold air to battle with warm air to spin up major rain/snowstorms. Until then, we enjoy what we have.
That's means another day of sunshine and pleasant temps with afternoon highs in the upper 70s---lower 70s along the coast. More of the same tomorrow with many towns getting close to 80 by afternoon.
The weekend will see an increase in clouds on Saturday ahead of a cool front. Despite more clouds around, it will be a dry day--in fact, Saturday will be the pick of the weekend for outdoor activities. Sunday isn't lost but plan on cloudy skies for much of the day and as that front sweeps across New England there will be a few showers from sunrise until 12-1pm on Sunday. Temps this weekend will be seasonal---mid 70s.
