Stretching The Streak
Posted by Pete Bouchard
Pats are on a roll, and so is the weather.
Turned out to be a fine afternoon after some bumps in the road this morning. Breezes were just enough to keep the wind stirred and keep many of us near 70. But those winds also have been blowing down plenty of cool air, and we'll feel it tonight and the first half of the week.
Temperatures tonight will chill right down to the low and mid 40s for most (the city should be right around 50, however). And this will be one of a string of cool nights to signal the start of astronomical fall.
But that's almost a sidebar (and a given for the season). What's bigger is this fine streak of sunny days. If you take early Sunday out of the mix, we've been on a tear for the last week plus. And with another mighty high pressure system parking itself over New England, I'm looking at at least 7 days without a shower threat. (And slowly moderating temps.)
Make the most of the workweek.
