Series of Cool Days
Posted by Pete Bouchard
Day one of the cool pattern. I must admit, I overdressed and felt a little warm this morning. Plenty more opportunities to get it right in the days ahead.
First off, what about all this evening rain in SE Mass?
Don't sweat it, that northernmost line from Plymouth to Swansea hasn't moved an inch in the last three hours. It's not a player in the Sox forecast or in the overnight hours for Greater Boston or Worcester.
I'm torn over this. Certainly don't want rain for the Sox, but we need it badly. Tonight is our only opportunity for a mediocre soaking in the next 7 days.
Tomorrow dawns bright and cold, but the clouds will billow up in the afternoon. Gusty winds will chill to the bone if you're outside - a major change of pace from our somewhat still/quiet weather of late.
Some slight moderation in the temperatures is expected this weekend as the wind turns more southwest. Showers should stay out of the picture both days as a weak weather system runs out of gas across New England.
On the edge of my seat over the game....
