Pick of The Week
Posted by Chris Lambert
While it won't be quite the warmest, it will be the best. I'm taking today as the pick of the week thanks to the combination of the milder air and dry weather. It's a noticeable difference already this morning with temps running a good 10-15 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. The exception is the Cape and Islands, but even there, expect a milder day over all.
Sunshine mixes with clouds through the day and a south to southwesterly breeze warms us up into the mid 50s to 60 degrees. That south wind sticks around tonight and tomorrow, so the mild weather continues as temps hold near 50 tonight, and surge into the low to mid 60s tomorrow.
Showers move in tomorrow along and ahead of a cold front, with the highest rain chance mid-morning into the mid-afternoon. Late in the day, rain tapers off and it will dry out by dinner time. Temps tumble overnight as a northwest wind kicks out the warm weather, allowing for a chilly and blustery Friday with highs in the upper 40s.
The weekend temps hold near 50 with Saturday being dry and Sunday featuring more clouds and a passing shower or two.
